I am angry, very angry. Why? I went back to school (after already having worked for long periods of time in two different careers) and got a Masters in Conservation Biology so that I could help the environment in any way I could (and it needs a lot of help). I’d wanted to work with the environment since I was a child. Now, no one will hire me for environmental jobs I am qualified for. When I tried for volunteer positions that didn’t work either. Two examples: 1) I couldn’t get the minimum support I needed to do the work they were asking and 2) I was strung along for almost six months before being told they didn’t have anything. So you bet I’m angry. However, I started out intending to help the environment and this page is intended to do that. To begin with I am going to post ecologically informed responses to actions about the environment by the government. I am going to point out the actual impact of those actions (and then I hope you’ll understand why I’m an angry conservationist).
