The Trump administration has just published a plan to weaken fuel economy and global warming standards for cars and stop California determining its own vehicle regulations for greenhouse gas emissions. Like most of the current administration’s environmental plans and programs this is directly contrary to what the science says is needed to stop a critical problem (global warming) from getting worse. In addition, they are preventing other entities from working on reducing the problem themselves. Can you say shill for the fossil fuel industry? I’ve never seen or heard of an administration that is so wrong-headed that it functions as an arm of business against both the needs and will of the people. I could throw up
